PastorPastor Ignacio Torres was raised in New York City where he lived until he joined the U.S. Army from 1981-1984, which brought him to the Fort Ord base in California. While serving in the Army, he made the best decision in his life,he accepted Jesus Christ into his life, and began a personal relationship with God. Since then his life has drastically changed and he is now a whole hearted follower of Jesus Christ.
After his encounter with God, he met his help mate (wife) Sara Torres and they married in 1985. By 1986, God called him and his wife into the pastoral ministry and soon pastored his first church in Seaside, Ca from 1986-1990. In 1990 he pioneered a church in Greenfield, Shortly thereafter, the challenge and the calling of God once again took root in his heart, he accepted the challenge and went to Hollister, Ca from 1991-1995. While serving in Hollister, he was once again challenged to move and Pastor the same church he was sent out of. This was a daunting task, but he accepted the challenge and was honored to take over for his Pastor who was called to Start a church in Santiago, Chile. Pastor Ignacio now serves and Pastor the church in Salinas, Ca.
He and his wife have had on-going experiences in building and extending the kingdom of God; such as church-planting, world evangelism, and discipleship. Over the years, they have been blessed and privileged to plant churches in different parts of Africa, which has lead to a school and the ongoing construction of an orphanage. Pastor Ignacio has also done many missionary trips which include Africa, Russia, Chile, Cuba, England, Mexico, Philippines and many others. Along with reaching the mission field Pastor Ignacio has numerous churches that he oversees, which include Hollister, San Jose, Sacramento, Guadalajara Mexico and Churches in Africa.
His experience in his pastoral ministry has developed a desire to help people obtain their maximum capabilities in the things of God. He enjoys helping others to see the potential in their life, understand life, and equip them with the tools to succeed. His heart is to see more involvement in the overseas ministries and church planting.
Lastly in his spare time he enjoys a round of golf with friends or at times he loves the challenge of playing the ol' course by himself. Other activities you might see him doing is spending time with his son by going to the movies. But most of all he enjoys his time with his wife where they walk their dogs and catch up with each other.
